About

I am a professional Lighting Designer and educator with a little Set Design here and there.

I love challenging the space in which each piece takes place and engaging in how the space we have invited our audience into is inevitably a character in whatever we are making. I am forever asking, “Why this performance now?”

I strive to practice anti-racist theatre, and am committed to dismantling systemic racism and white supremacy in our industry and our nation.  If you are interested in what that means to me and how that translates directly into my design work, please ask.

I received my MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts Department of Design for Stage and Film and my BA in Drama from Vassar College.  I am the Lighting Design Professor and Lighting Supervisor at Montclair State University’s Department of Theatre and Dance.  I am a proud member of USA 829.
